Mike has been keeping fish for over 30 years, starting with an 18" x 8" x 8" plastic framed tank and lid containing goldfish. This was soon changed to a 24" x 12" x 15" all glass aquarium.


Mikes main interests have been have been cichlids and catfishes of all types. He has kept Oscars, which he is especially fond of as well as Texas cichlids, Cichlasoma managuense and various Tanganyikan cichlids. Mike has also kept a number of catfish including a Shovelnose, Synodontis nyassae and currently has a large Perrunichthys perruno.

Mike's current setup is a large, 5 sided corner tank containg the Perruno, nyassae, a pleco and a red bellied pacu. Mike also has 2 small ponds in the garden.
