Vic started his hobby of fish keeping with a 30x12x15 tropical aquarium with a couple of pairs of guppies and a small selection of community fish.

His hobby expanded quite well with a selection of tanks from 18 inches to 8 feet. A total of 44 tanks in all. In September 1991, Vic decided to open his own shop selling fish and equipment, calling it V & M Aquatics which he ran with his wife. The business then expanded to include small furry animals and birds so they moved to a bigger shop in February 1993 situated in Luton. Unfortunately the shop has now closed due to Vic's other commitments but he still does pond building and maintenance which he has been doing for a few years now.

Vic still has a couple of tanks of his own which is enough for him to cope with on top of everything else he does. His favourite fish are South American cichlids and big catfish. Vic has been a committee member of the Dunstable & District Aquarist Society for the past 12 years.
